
I've Fallen and I CAN Get Up: Power Training for Seniors
A faster contraction is a safer contraction, and the main fear of the senior client is falling and not being able to get up. In this talk, Tim will discuss the importance of training the senior client for power. Recognizing the aspects of power loss and its effects on balance, coordination and mental well-being is a great tool for any trainer to have in their toolbox to support this growing market.

- Define the “older-adult” demographic in the fitness industry.
- Identify current issues that lead to falling incidents in seniors.
- Develop power training programs for the senior client.
- Explain the need for visual and reaction training in fall prevention.
