Designing and Delivering Effective Online Personal Training Sessions

As gyms open and close and safety concerns stay at the forefront of clients' minds, the savvy personal trainer will include virtual training in their list of services. But providing effective and success-producing online experiences requires more than a Zoom account. Kenneth Miller, MS, will provide you with everything you need to know to develop and provide high-level online personal training sessions--from top technology to coaching strategies to cueing and everything in between.

Learning Objectives

  1. List the characteristics of in-person (3D) versus virtual (2D) personal trainers.
  2. Explain how to optimize virtual vantage points to maximize how client and trainer view each other.
  3. Describe how to organize the three-step process for creating an online personal training program.
  4. Explain how to monitor client movements using kinetic-chain checkpoints.
  5. Describe how to appropriately modify exercises through regression and progression techniques.
  6. Explain how to organize virtual workouts using the triple constraints of virtual training.

  3. Take the test. (You must score 80% to pass. If you do not pass, you may retake the test.)
